Vetpaw's Mission
The goals of Veterans Empowered to Protect African Wildlife (VETPAW) are to provide meaningful employment to skilled post-9/11 U.S.veterans and conserve critically endangered African species and their communities and ecosystems.

Iconic and irreplaceable wildlife is on the brink of extinction due to illegal poaching, and the crisis has far-reaching and catastrophic consequences. VETPAW utilizes the unrivaled expertise of veterans to train and support African rangers and to provide sustainable solutions. By hiring the men and women of the U.S. military we also facilitate career development and personal growth.

Tusks of Slaughtered Elephants
Veteran participation fosters bilateral relations with African nations while providing vets with meaningful employment that they might otherwise not find.

VETPAW collaborates closely with rangers, national parks, and government agencies. This includes working side-by-side with anti-poaching patrols, implementing infantry tactics, unit cohesion, medical skills, and other game-changing tools in the modern poaching war. We ensure that rangers have the best equipment to fight well-armed poachers.

VETPAW promotes capacity- and relationship building in East Africa, elevating the perception of the military at home and abroad while preventing the extinction of keystone species and ecosystems.
