Are you interested in participating in the Marine Corps Marathon this year? Did the lottery for a bib number not turn out as you had hoped? No need to fret if the Lottery didn’t turn out as hoped. There is still a way to participate in the MCM through the Charity Partner Program. More than 90 charities seek motivated runners to join them to Run for a Cause. This is your chance to raise awareness, run with purpose, and generate funds for our veterans on the front lines of wildlife conservation.

Recognized for its excellent organization and scenic course, the MCM is managed by the men and women of United States Marine Corps in Arlington, VA, and the nation's capital. The Marine Corps Marathon is one of the largest marathons in the US and the world hosting runners from all 50 states and more than 60 countries. Known as 'the best marathon for beginners,' the MCM is the largest marathon in the world that doesn't offer prize money, earning its nickname, "The People's Marathon."

The Marine Corps Marathon is annually ranked as one of the largest marathons in the US and the world. Last year, MCM runners collectively raised over $2 million for their Charity Partners. Running for the MCM Charity Partner Program is a great way to end a marathon journey, knowing your participation made a difference in the world.

Every step that you take and every dollar that you raise brings awareness for wildlife conservation, helps to employ a veteran, empowers African rangers and law enforcement, and helps to protect threatened African species. However, there are many other reasons than wildlife conservation to run for VETPAW team in the MCM.

Many choose to run the MCM as a tribute to a loved one serving their country or in memory of their sacrifice. Some run in defiance, while facing illness, whether their own or for a loved one. They run to show their patriotism and love of country. Others may be finding a new path to fitness or merely seeking to conquer a distance that once seemed impossible. Organized by the men and women of the United States Marine Corps, the MCM celebrates the honor, courage, and commitment of all finishers.
